"dispostion" vs "disposal" of old computers
"Disposal is a disposition option"...
I tend to agree with the above, whereas the reverse "disposition is a disposal option" doesn't sound right.
"Disposition" seems to be the broader of the two, per my 1996 Chambers.
I think most folk think of "disposable"/"intended to be thrown away or destroyed after use" when they see the word "DISPOSAL" but not so with "DISPOSITION".
To me, the writer probably wanted to emphasize all the other choices besides "dumping".
My Chambers has similar meanings - so it's a fine line:
Dispositon = deployment or distribution; the act of, or a scheme for, dealing with affairs etc.
Disposal = the act of dealing with something; arrangement, disposition, deployment
