RE: Near field communications, Ultra Wideband wireless gaining ground

I noticed the comment "... rival ZigBee and Z-Wave specifications, that are built atop the 802.15.4 radio standard..."

Last time I checked, Z-Wave was NOT based on IEEE 802.15.4 PHY/MAC standard. Protocol wars aside, I consider that a disadvantage for Z-Wave since 15.4 provides offers robust spread-spectrum communication at low cost, and is multiply sourced. But I admit that I'm biased.
