RE: Cisco's Nexus brings SAN, LAN together

Read the announcement carefully with respect to SAN convergence. Yes, Cisco borrowed the architecture from the MDS product line, but there are no native SAN capabilities in this box (not even Fibre Channel line cards), just a hope that everyone will move to FCoE (Fibre-Channel over Ethernet) at some future time by the virtue of having 10Gig ports available. I think this is more of an Infiniband killer for High Performance Computing than any type of SAN device.
