If Cisco is to use this to combat Infiniband they will need to get "a bit" more real on their pricing. Also, Infiniband will be releasing its 40 Gb version soon. Cisco's 40 Gb or 100Gb Ethernet is years away.
What Cisco has done is ratify that 10Gb in the datacenter is a must have. I wonder what companies with Catalyst 6500s making up their data center core think about this move.
