not so wise Sage
Stephanie,
My condolences at your buying Sage's "pig in a poke" however, your frustration does NOT surprise me.
I have been setting up small business users with Act up through version 6.03. (I started even before it was acquired by Symantec which has spun it off to Sage). With version 7 the program became unstable bloatware because the "improvements and enhancements" made it unusable. Despite the obvious desire to enrich the program to make it more powerful and useful, instead the program was rushed out despite the need for too many fixes mostly to improve the company's revenue stream.
It was not a matter of the new version being beyond my ability to use or customize it. The program just did not work. While I am still using version 6 (which doesn't work with Vista - but I don't like Vista either), I and have gotten out of the software business and have told potential customers to go elsewhere.
