My problem with this is not that the FBI is collecting more biometrics data. They already have more information about people of interest, former military, former government employees, etc. than you can probably imagine. No, the problem I have with this is that a government agency is going to collect additional information about individual identities when no government agency has proved to my satisfaction that it is capable of adequately protecting sensitive data. Sometimes I feel like giving my personal information to the goverment is like posting it on the Internet. Let's see... how many times has the VA lost my information? I've lost count.
