"investment opportunity in SCO and its vast range of products" - which products ?
Now, maybe, just maybe, these investors are not looking Linux or IBM or even Unix? They are the main focus in news but SCO has been involved (from Caldera days) on other software development.
Just for example, the new management systems based on DMTF/CIM/WBEM and such. Many software and hardware corporations are currently in process to change their old proprietary or SNMP based systems for that. They are putting millions and millions to new management systems which can handle the whole infrastructure including mobiles? Having a controlling investment on some of that technology might pay back nicely.
Is there anywhere a list on what other development SCO (Caldera) has been involved?
