RE: Replicating virtual servers vulnerable to attack

How is this different from protecting any sensitive data transmitted between hosts? Use IPSec, TLS, or some other transport encryption. It seems silly to expect the application software, in this case the virtualization manager, to to authentication and encryption when all of the server operating systems have these capabilities built-in.
