Here is the irony...

TippingPoint makes "intrusion prevention" devices. In simple terms, this means that the device prevents intrusion. If it's any good (and it is) don't you think that the pentagon would test it to make sure that the manufacturer can't get past it? TippingPoint can't get past their own device to break into a customer's network. So, neither can 3Com or potential minority owner Huawei.

The other products that 3Com makes (VoIP systems) and network switches have no security risk. The switches are all made in China to begin with.

This is all anti-China hypocrisy. It's insulting. China didn't have a problem when 3Com bought all of H3C.
