While the point vendors mentioned offer specific solutions to aspects of the virtualization management problem, the changing dynamic in IT infrastructures due to the introduction of technologies like virtualization has made it imperative for vendors to present a fundamentally new approach to systems performance and availability management. This has been an issue even before the dawn of virtualization, as traditional management solutions can no longer scale to meet the needs of today’s increasingly complex IT environments.
It certainly is an exciting time to be a management vendor!
