With the release of Windows Server 2008, they are a lot of MCSE’s who want to upgrade the Windows Server 2008 certifications. As I have mentioned in an earlier post, to become a MCITP in Enterprise Administrator, you must take the following:
If you are an MCSE for Windows Server 2003, to upgrade to the MCTIP, you can take the 70-649 (upgrade) exam, which counts for the Active Directory Exam, Network Infrastructure exam and the Application/Platform Configuration exam. You still need to take the Windows Vista (70-620 or 70-624) and the Enterprise Administrator (70-647). Of course, currently, the MCITP program does not have the recognition that the MCSE program has but after the Windows Server 2008 starts to replace the Windows Server 2003 as the dominating server operating system, the MCITP will become more recognized as time goes on.
