Nationalize?
Nationalize Telecom etc? Sure it will work for awhile. But we the customer will lose our ability to directly influence the quality of service. The municipality that threaten them would have little voice in your vision. We would never get back our direct influence of the service we get. Since when over a long period has a government run industry out performed a private one. Markets are the most efficient at distributing resources. A government's job is to maintain order and restrain evil. Govenment is as susceptable, if not more, to corruption as corporations, but much harder to influence or cleanup. So open up your eyes. There are many puppet masters.
