So we finally have the launch of Google Sites (the newly revamped JotSpot). Google Sites will no doubt be popular with
consumers and small businesses -- the same type of users that have already been building free Web pages. It allows collaboration and supports many file types and that's also great. But it is doubtful that many large companies building internal SharePoint systems will abandon that to put their data into Google's cloud.
As Google Sites grows with APIs that better support custom applications, this could change. But for now, Microsoft (and IBM with Lotus Notes) probably isn't sweating over Google Sites.
