Surprise, surprise -- in a bit of "sisterly" rivalry, The U.S. Department of Justice and state attorneys general have announced that they are reviewing Microsoft's interoperability changes announced Feb. 21
They "intend to discuss them in more detail" with the company, according to the latest status report in the 2003 antitrust judgment against Microsoft. But since the DOJ wasn't demanding such interoperability (the European Commission was the force behind that), what is there for the DOJ to review? Why pretend to be pushing Microsoft when it is the EC slapping Microsoft with huge fines, while the DOJ simply keeps Microsoft under oversight.
