First of all comparing a BD8810 to a Foundry RX-16 is like comparing a YUGO to a FERRARI.
First of all the RX-16 RAW Switching capacity is 3.84 Terrabytes comapared to Extreme 800Gigs. The RX-16 can handle 1.1 BILLION of PPS compared to Extreme 500 MILLION PPS. The RX product line is 100 GE ready per slot the BD8810 can barely handle 48 GIG per slot it requires two managment modules. The RX design is based on new generation ASICS the BD 8810 ASICS are not that new or innovative.
The port capacity of a RX-16 is 768 GIG-E ports and 64 10GE LINE RATE !!!!!!. the Extreme box can barely handle 32 10GE ports and 384 1GE.
Tolly Group should have included performance numbers. Just a thought....
