Processor wars heat up as AMD, Intel add cores

You might want to look in to the fact that in 2007 AMD was working with sun systems on there "eight-core UltraSPARC T2 processors with eight threads per core". I could be wrong but that means AMD already has experience in making a working 8 core chip, and I see no reason that they couldn't use that experience to develop there own six or eight core proc.
