It is amazing how companies do not want to really make progress. They try to avoid hiring people that are really interested in moving the business forward in favor of a checklist.
My guess is that talent acquisition holds back many companies; and the top level execs are unaware that HR is strangling the entire process.
Look for talent; not a checklist! Have someone knowledgeable about the work do the screening; it takes time but will find you much better people to join the team.
