Exchange and OCS are out of synch

One of the frustrations users have is when Microsoft develops products in parallel and then says -- hey, they are out of synch! For example, there is no unified storage scheme for SharePoint, SQL Server and other products (though Microsoft regularly promises to create such a scheme.Sounds like this "out of synch" syndrome is also the case with Exchange and OCS.

This is one of the weaknesses of a company that started in the PC world and has grown into the data center/enterprise world. Microsoft understands that integration between applications is wonderful for users (hey -- it's why Office and Windows became the hits they are), but it doesn't always seem to pull it off on an architectural level. The folks there are aware of that. Here's hoping they can address it.
