The exit comes as an industry surprise although Brad Reese points out that "Ullal's succession has been in the works for a while, so it's not a jumping ship kind of thing." One reader of Cisco Subnet says Ullal left because she "has integrity" and wasn't keen on the way Cisco has been treating customers. That's just one opinion. The industry will have to stand by and see where she lands next.
