Digital Forensics Lab coming to life

The NSF has awarded the University of Maryland’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) a $109,514 grant to establish a regional Digital Forensics Lab (DFL).

The lab, which will be used to teach digital forensics starting next spring, will serve universities and other organizations belonging to the CyberWATCH consortium in the Washington, D.C. area.

Virtual machines based at the University of Maryland at College Park will provide the technical foundation for the lab.
