Spoken like a true IT "pro" who is stuck in 90s. Good luck with that chief. Sounds like it's YOU who is "condescending, arrogant and uninformed." Your progressive thinking must really help your company's goals. Keith Shaw's article is just a primer, and well informed -- and raises the basic and relevant question for real IT pros. Sounds like you just aren't prepared ot deal with it or see if it can actually help your company.
I've been following Shaw's articles for many a year now and have never noticed his ego getting in the way of anything. He is a straight shooter. I may not always agree, but I've always valued his opinion.
I can just hear the employees that have to deal with your attitude saying "that guy needs to get over himself."
