paper ballots

Useful answer?

The big advantage of paper ballots is that it is easier to expand capacity should more voters turn up. In critical exercises like voting, simpler is generally better.

I am all for the paper ballot.

I would also support a results blackout until the last poll closes on the west coast. That would prevent news agencies from calling the election in advance of the official count.

Or maybe not. It might just result in an increase in exit polling by those same agencies. They have to report something for Pete's sake. There has to be DRAMA on election night. DRAMA and SUSPENSE!

But I'll do what I always do. Vote, go to bed, wake up in the morning to see who won. (Or see who is calling for a recount.)
