iPhone is terrible for wireless email
On our BB/BES deployment, 100 emails received/sent a day while roaming is aprox 220KB, on the iPhone the same traffic for JUST emails was 5.2MB... The fact that because the BB device has BES means ALL carriers we deploy with have preferential BB data plans for email as they can identify the traffic and the APN. iPhone has no such luxury as it goes direct from the phone to the mail server.
The iPhone is *NOT* ideal for anyone who is used to a Blackberry style push product and has to travel outside their home network. Be clear or pay the price.
