Right, and..I agree...
IT can be considered as a definate cost center depending on the context of the argument. Working for a large corporation with multi-national site connections to redundant data centers, IT "costs" the corp money, but working as an IT Service Manager your internal IT costs can disapear if you have not only the right staff but the key person in the manager spot to "oversee and approve" everything, including resposibilty for daily profitabilty of the service team as a whole.
