Good observations. Imagine, however, if China Mobile convinces Apple to release iPhone 3G in TD-SCDMA format - this will give this standard a huge boost. CU and CT 3G networks are more than a year away and their 2G networks are still inferior. And 420M customers on China Mobile who is also capturing 4 of out of 5 net adds are nothing to sniff at. Unfortunately, there are not lots of choices yet here for Apple.
