It would be worth considering a company called Apere.
Their site is www.apere.com
They are addressing the user provisioning and identity management space.

Another one on the Systems Management side
Have you taken a good look at eGInnovations? I like their stuff! (And no Active X controls in its interface! YUCK!)
I like the way it installs, runs and autothresholds.
A couple of companies I dig
The obscured : RealOps http://www.realops.com
- They are starting to really take off. And it is much more scalable than iConclude
The Sleeper : Open Service http://www.openservice.com
- While they have presented themselves as a Security Event Management company, NerveCenter still rocks on. They ended up fixing a few bugs and now it hyperscales compared to what it used to. Those that have NerveCenter still have it. Those that have tried other products should probably revisit it. It is still faster and more accurate correlation wise than anything else in the marketplace.
10 companies to watch
You should spend a little more time on researching these companies. KLIR closed their doors on Aug 1 2007.
Thanks for the tip. I
Thanks for the tip. I contacted Apere several times and never heard back from their PR. I am definitely interested in learning more.
More interesting companies
You should take a look at transaction management companies like Dynatrace and Correlsense. These can track application activity across several tiers. Correlsense is interesting since they install at the operating system level and can still tie the resource usage with the application. Haven't used either, so can't say how well they perform in production environments.
