Cisco vs. Apple

The news of Cisco suing Apple over the Style King's use of Cisco's iPhone name is getting bloggers all hot and bothered. Mark Chandler, Cisco senior VP and general counsel blogged that the two companies were in negotiations up until the night before Apple launched its handheld.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Comwave Telecom of Canada has been marketing wireless services under the iPhone name since 2004. ...

Realmoney.com's Jim Cramer reckons what Cisco really wants is to get into your living room and what better way to do that is via Apple...

But does Cisco really have rights to the iPhone name? Trademark lawyers are having a field day over at Ed Burnette's Dev Connection blog examining whether Cisco still has rights over the name.

What do you think of the whole Cisco vs. Apple debate?
