Getting past the web screen software
It's well and good to seek IT candidates with technology and business skills, but getting past the web site buzzword filters used by most HR departments to screen resumes leaves little opportunity to highlight those soft skills/business skills.
Buzzword dinner
Let me get this straight. Iacona's parent company, Monster Worldwide, almost single-handedly invented key-word resumes, sells access to them, and tells job seekers to turn their resumes into buzzword lists. Iacona complains that job seekers "have a long way to go in wowing hiring managers" because their "resumes are laden with buzzwords." In Silicon Valley, we call this eating your own dog food. Fries with that, Mr. Iacona?
