Mea culpa time: Earlier today I filed an "off-topic" post about what I had believed to be a possible pot-shot by the writers of "The Sopranos" at Sen. Edward Kennedy and the latter's notorious Chappaquiddick incident.
The scene from Sunday's show depicted two teenagers -- "Kennedy" and "Heidi" -- involved in traffic accident with an SUV carrying two Sopranos characters. After watching the scene again on YouTube, I realized -- to my horror -- that I had made a whopper of a mistake. In short, I mixed up the names -- "Heidi" actually was driving and "Kennedy" was the passenger -- thus rendering nonsensical the entire point of the post -- which was that the show writers had a "Kennedy" decide to leave the scene of an accident. As a result, I have taken the post down. My apologies to anyone who may have read the item or linked to it.
