Cisco networking academy set to celebrate 10th anniversary

Nick Romanowski is a Baltimore, Maryland Sollers Point Cisco Networking Academy CCNA 4 graduate.

Nick began working in technology at age 14, starting his own technology and web hosting business.

At age 16, Nick served as an intern at the National Security Agency.

Today, Nick trains new employees in networking, security, and computer technologies at a defense consulting firm located in the Baltimore area.

The Cisco Networking Academy which was formally launched in October 1997 with 37 educational institutions teaching students in seven states, is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Currently, well over 2 million students have completed courses at the 10,000 academies that are located in high schools, technical schools, colleges, universities, and community-based organizations around the world.

The Networking Academies provide entry level IT and technical skills through a public private partnership with established educational institutions.

Students, ranging in age from 14 to adults, are furthering their education and careers with goals of building technical knowledge and skills.
