Begging would be undignified, pardon the pun. ... But what could be the harm of asking?
A week ago, this Buzzblog item of mine - "Diggers dig nothing as much as Digg" - was submitted to that social-bookmarking site by a rather prolific Digger who goes by the name of "skored" (a fellow so into this kind of thing that he's already active in Pownce).
Anyway, Diggers dug "Diggers dig nothing" enough to elevate the item to Digg's front page and to award it, as of this writing, a tidy 996 Diggs. (OK, 995 if you subtract my own Digg.)
No single item from Buzzblog - now a year-and-a-half active - has ever earned 1,000 Diggs.
Everyone needs goals. Thank-you for considering mine.
(Update: Roughly 24 hours later, we're looking at 1,001 Diggs. Couldn't have done it without you. Thanks.)
