Acer America's new P Series of displays include a full line of LCD monitors aimed at the home and education markets, as well as the multimedia enthusiast (gaming and video). New sizes include 19-, 20-, 22- and 24-inch LCDs, with designs that include a piano-black bezel, curved edges and "a sturdy silver base."
Tech features include High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) or Digital Visual Interface (DVI) ports and Windows Vista certification. Models and specs include:
* P191Wd – 19-inch model includes 1,440 by 900 native resolution, 300 cd/m2 of brightness, 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 160-degree viewing angle and support for VGA and DVI (with HDCP). Available now for $229.99.
* P201Wd – 20-inch model includes 1,680 by 1,050 native resolution, 300 cd/m2 of brightness, 2,500:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 160-degree viewing angle and VGA and DVI (with HDCP) ports. Available now for $269.99.
* P221Wd – 22-inch model includes 1,680 by 1,050 native resolution, 300 cd/m2 of brightness, 2,500:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 170-degree horizontal and 160-degree vertical viewing angle, and VGA and DVI (with HDCP) support. Available now for $329.99.
* P241Wd – 24-inch model includes 1,920 by 1,200 native resolution, 400 cd/m2 of brightness, 3,000:1 contrast ratio, 2ms response time, 160-degree viewing angles and D-Sub and HDMI inputs. Available now for $499.99.
