Derogatory reference to IT workers over 30

For instance, the Department of Energy encourages working from home, but only 9% of employees do significantly short of the department goal of 15%, according to Rita Franklin, Energy Department deputy chief human capital officer. But the demographics of the department reflect an a workforce that averages 49 years of age what she terms the dinosaur generation ...

As an AMERICAN worker in the IT sector who is not under 30 and can produce higher-quality work than most of those half my age, I am highly offended by this derrogatory and insulting reference to me and everyone else who isn't just out of high school. That it comes from someone who is supposed -- supposed to be responsible for a Human Resources office at a US FEDERAL AGENCY is all the more repulsive. I can only hope she never reaches 35 so she will never have to deal with the now 20-somethings calling her a DINOSAUR!

Comments like this from PUBLIC officials who are supposed -- supposed to be governed by EEOC requirements make me sick. This fool not only is totally out of line but should be fired for discriminating against older workers. Or maybe she never bothered to learn how to read and doesn't know that AGE DISCRIMINATION IS supposed to be ILLEGAL. Maybe she should go back to her second grade class where she clearly failed reading and learn something. If insults like this against older Americans are acceptable from Government Officials, it's no wonder that rampant discrimination thrives in the workplace.
