CardSapce is a good idea in general terms, and Microsoft is also, generally, doing a lot of interesting work in the whole identity management field. But the rub always comes between theory and implementation. Microsoft has not proved itself trustworthy not to "dis" customers if it thinks it can make a buck or gain competitive advantage. Trusting lots and lots of personal information to a Microsoft technology? Yikes. Good to see competitors like Ruby on Rails (growing very popular) and Ping out there.
