Why waste time on a trial?
They don't qualify as human so they're not entitled to a trial. Even if you do give them a trial, I see no reason to make it a fair one.
A friend of mine suggested that we publically execute 6-12 spammers as the SuperBowl half-time show every year. It would be much more entertaining than most of the half-time shows, and about a billion people would see it. Might be a useful deterent, but even if it's not, it would be entertaining.
