BradReese.Com Cisco Resumes received an updated resume on November 3rd that featured a new Cisco CCIE No. 19212 Routing and Switching certification that was earned on November 1st, 2007.
Additionally, while doing research for the Guide to Cisco CCIE Hall of Fames the IPexpert CCIE Hall of Fame featured an even newer Cisco CCIE No. 19226 Routing and Switching, who sat for his lab on November 2nd, 2007 in Brussels, Belgium.
That means as of November 6th 2007 - 18202 CCIE certificates have been awarded during the entire history of the Cisco CCIE program.

18202 - CCIE Numbers issued in the entire Cisco CCIE Program
Of course, not all CCIEs have re-certified, many have allowed their CCIE Numbers to become inactive (meaning that they have to start from scratch and retake the CCIE written exam as well as the CCIE lab exam all over again in order to recapture their CCIE certification status).
Meanwhile, the Cisco CCIE Resources Worldwide web page remains hopelessly out-of-date.

actually, you made the off-by-one mistake, it should be 19226 - 1024 = 18202+1 = 18203... Whatever...

Thank You Ronald
Hi Ronald,
The very first CCIE No. 1024 in August 1993 was actually awarded to the LAB itself and the second CCIE No. 1025 went to the designer and builder of that LAB, Stuart Biggs, a Cisco employee.
However, the next CCIE No. 1026 was awarded to non-Cisco employee, Terry Slattery.
Sincerely,
Brad Reese

Terry Slattery
I've checked Terry's status on the CCIE Verification Tool, but it didn't like it.
Could he be using a different name ?
Different first name
Hi Roy,
Terry's CCIE certificate is registered under a different first name.
Terry's CCIE No. 1026 Routing and Switching, certified on August 3rd, 1993, is currently listed with Cisco as having a "Suspended Status" while Terry is recertifying his CCIE.
Sincerely,
Brad Reese

"Meanwhile, the Cisco CCIE Resources Worldwide web page remains hopelessly out-of-date."
How is that? Do you have the actual number of expired IEs? I was under the impression that the numbers represented on that web page indicate the number of active CCIEs. Yes it hasn't been updated in a while, but that has always been the case.
Not sure why you needed to point out the obvious..............nothing better to discuss?
CCIE #19226
Woohoo my number is famous (well almost)! ;)
If it helps the statistics any - I sat my lab on the 2nd Nov 2007 in Brussels.

Thank you
Thank you Con.
Added your lab date and location to the story.
Once more Con, thank you.
Sincerely and gratefully yours,

More respect
Guess that I'm a little more than peeved that Cisco does not show the respect for CCIEs that they truly deserve.
CCIEs drive Cisco's business!
The Cisco CCIE Resource Worldwide web page should never, ever be out of date.
Thankfully, Cisco updated the web page yesterday, November 14th, 2007.

CCIE Number & Multiple CCIE Status
CCIE Number & Multiple CCIE Status
Higher the number of CCIE's higher the supply, and if demand is not at same level ... salary prospects will decrease...
So multiple certs will be most demanding..
Total with 3 or more certifications 274
Currently I am attending to my Voice lab exam and undergoing training with a Boot Camp in UK (WinnET Systems), and the instructor has 4 certs under his belt.(Harith, Quadruple CCIE) I am impressed, and was admiring his level of knowledge how he conduct the sessions.
So without a doubt more certs you have more knowledge and exposure and higher the job demand..
So it proves in future there would be a good demand for those who are with multiple certs than single...
