Holiday Gift Guides

I'm sure you already went through Keith Shaw's 2007 Cool Yule Tools, but you may want to check out what PCWorld has to say about goodies in their Holiday Gift Guide. After all, you can't really have too many toys, can you?

PCWorld breaks things down by categories slightly different than Keith does, but not by too much. When you have a few minutes, it's always fun to see which items appear on both lists. And PCWorld lists their most popular products for the year, so you can see what your fellow readers consider worth buying.

Why buy these toys, er, important business devices now? Most small businesses are on a fiscal year that ends December 31. Buying items now makes them deductible as business expenses (assuming you follow the rules from your accountant) this year on your 2007 taxes. Second, these types of gifts make great holiday presents for worthy employees.

Go ahead, take a few minutes and put together the gift list your family has been asking you to give them. Small business people deserve gifts, even if none of the high-dollar Washington lobbyists want to come pour money on us.
