Uh, no. You can see a unique identifier for the authors of every Wikipedia page by looking in the history. It's much easier to get leverage in the community if you choose at least a pseudonym. Many users freely provide their real identities. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Superm401 for mine. Somehow, despite the lack of anonymity I haven't been banned yet.

It seems that knol focus on author accountability, whereas Wikipedia focuses on author anonymity. It's a big difference.

Perhaps the biggest difference between Knol and Wikipedia is that Knol is not an encyclopedia. It's a place for people to publish their individual, new, ideas, which Wikipedia is not (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WWIN#Wikipedia_is_not_a_publisher_of_original_thought).
