This week will be filled with stories about the best and worst events and products from the past year. You may already be tired of these, but I'm not. PCWorld has a nice Year in Tech roundup posted the 25th.
Of course, I like it because the first listing is Vista Follies. This topic rates high in all the wrapup stories, as you might imagine. Most seem to rate Vista as unappetizing but inevitable. I agree.
The stories I haven't seen address the continuing problem of more technology getting more complicated and helping small businesses less and less. Yes, Technology Is Broken, has been Broken, and will remain Broken for many users for a long, long time. Such a shame.
Yet we continue to fight the good fight for our users and customers. We can fix the parts of we need, pick the right technical tools for the task at hand, and make our corner of the technology world a little better. I just wish the vendors and manufacturers starting doing their part in this repair process.
