RE: On SharePoint and collaboration

I can't quite figure out how anyone could think that we would jump from an established system like Domino to a relative newcomer like Sharepoint simply because it is new.

The collaboration features in the Domino have been tried and proven over its 18+ year history. The fact that Microsoft is bundling/requiring Sharepoint as part of later versions of office will have little impact on this decision.

If anything, we are more likely to drop Office altogether and use the Symphony tools in the latest release of Notes/Domino or migrate to an alternative to Office, such as OpenOffice because of its compatibility with the ISO approved OpenDocument file format.
