If Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Yahoo ends up happening (and I think it will) I hope that it will leave Flickr alone and let it continue to thrive on its own. Don't try to make the experience Vista-like. Don't layer on all kinds of stuff we don't want or need.
Other than Yahoo consolidating the Flickr logins with its own, you'd never know Yahoo owned the company. I hope Microsoft does the same.

I agree 100%. As is Flickr is, well, very cool. MSFT has a neat little way of adding unecessary bulk to the products they push. I have heard estimates of %80 bloat in Vista and the likes. What happened to the age old adage of "KISS"?
