Cisco, Avenda enable multivendor network access policy management

By Cisco Subnet on Fri, 02/08/08 - 6:06pm.

Cisco has signed a pact with Avenda Systems that will allow the policy management vendor to provision the TrustSec features embedded in Cisco switches with Avenda's eTIPS software for identity and role-based network management. Avenda says the licensing agreement will enable eTIPS customers to manage network access policies for Cisco NAC, Microsoft NAP, as well as Cisco TrustSec from a single policy management system.

Trustsec is very interesting to us

Cisco's Trustsec is being managed much better than how Cisco NAC was managed a few years ago. Trustsec has generated a lot of interest in my company, we will soon be talking to our account manager.

Why so interesting?

Are you going to implement the trustsec and Avenda product? I've heard that combining products from both companies provides an easier to use and more secure solution.
