I recently read the recent Gartner Magic Quadrant report which stated that Siemens were no longer considered a serious enterprise WLAN player so my guess is the author did not think they were worth a mention.
Gartner ... now there's an

- Nortel is on the list and they don't even have a product.
- Extreme is on the list, but their product is from Siemens.

An intelligent “edge-to-edge” WLAN architecture allows users to switch some traffic (for internet access, printing, etc.) at the AP, route other traffic back to a controller at a central location for role-based policy enforcement, or some hybrid of the two.
