Cisco is claiming its interest in unified communications company CallWave through a seat on CallWave's board. The seat will be occupied by Manny Rivelo senior VP of Cisco Development Organization Operations. CallWave describes itself as a mobile telephony and speech application company "that enables mobile, landline, and desktop interoperability." Products include a summarized voice-to-text speech application that digitizes and portalizes voice and text messages, and Virtual Voicemail that lets users read voicemail.
