Stirling is for sure one of the biggie announcements people are buzzing about for RSA next week. It adds security information functions to the Forefront product, according to information from Microsoft on the project. Stirling will also be integrated with NAC, Microsoft says, so users will be able to set policies and execute them for the clients from the same console used to monitor security. Of course, Microsoft doesn't have the best reputation for its "security," -- meaning all of its wares seem to be the target of much hacking -- but its NAC offerings is a major contender in that emerging area.
