How to retrieve a deleted voice mail message from Cisco Unity

Cisco How-To Tutorials

To retrieve deleted messages, the messages should be copied to the Deleted Items folder in Outlook.

This can done by checking the Deleted Messages Are Copied to the Deleted Items Folder box in Cisco Unity Assistant.

Refer to:

Class of Service Messages Settings

Note:

When this check box is not checked, voice messages that subscribers delete by using the phone, the Cisco Unity Inbox, or Outlook (as applicable) are not accessible to the subscriber from the phone or from the Cisco Unity Inbox.

When this check box is checked, Voice Messaging subscribers can perform these tasks:

Use the phone or the Cisco Unity Inbox (as applicable) to permanently delete messages stored in their Deleted Items folder.
Use the Cisco Unity Inbox to listen to, reply to, or forward messages in their Deleted Items folder, or to restore them to the Inbox.

When this check box is checked and subscribers have their Outlook Inboxes set up to move deleted messages to the Deleted Items folder, Unified Messaging subscribers can perform these tasks:

Use the phone, Outlook, or the Cisco Unity Inbox (as applicable) to permanently delete messages stored in their Deleted Items folders.
Use Outlook and the Cisco Unity Inbox to listen to, reply to, or forward messages in their Deleted Items folder, or to restore them to the respective Inbox.
