So Craig Mundie is calling for industry-wide cooperation to work on trust and security. Wouldn't it be nice if that could really happen?
Maybe a Microsoft-lead arrangement would be what it takes, as Microsoft doesn't seem to want to join in when others are doing the leading. Ah but it's easy to bash Microsoft, especially when it comes to security. The fact remains that lots of the brightest minds in the industry think Microsoft is on the right track with many of its security initiatives ... CardSpace, NAC, The laws of identity management. If it could join as well as it bullies, it could have something with this end-to-end trust concept.
