This year my company was selected as the Network Monitoring and Help Desk product for the Interop.net effort. I've just returned from assisting in the setup of that network and it's interesting, the show isn't just talking about Green IT, it's practicing. A part of what we're monitoring is how many watts of power the show network is using to provide the NOC, Help Desk and Internet Connectivity to each booth. By watching this utilization show engineers will be able to see if anything gets out-of-wack and correct the issue before more power is wasted. Isn't it nice when someone actually does what they're telling you that you should?
