Microsoft to MVPs on Vista progress, using Live

Steve Ballmer loves bloat (does that surprise you?) He actually told MVPs conferencing in Seattle this week: "Vista is bigger than XP and it's gonna stay bigger than XP," Ballmer said. "We have to make sure it doesn't get bigger still." Ballmer will also ask MVPs to switch their default searches to Live Search for one week and give Microsoft feedback. Its a bit of a slanted point of view, as MVPs tend to love Microsoft and easily forgive its faults. Microsoft would probably get a more impartial view if he asked a random group of 1,000 office workers to switch and give feedback. Live Search isn't bad -- it's just that it's not so great or so different as to stop using Google for it. Would you use Live for a week?
