XP from Dell will continue

There will actually be lots of ways to continue to get XP after the June cutoff. But Dell's move to advertise that it can fire up a "downgrade" license makes total sense. If the public wants XP, resellers will continue to sell it. Resellers can do so as long as they have XP stock. But it would be better for all concerned if everyone stopped being so retro and hysterical about Vista. If application compatibility is a problem, but you don't want to leave Windows, many methods exist at this point to solve the problem without clinging to XP on a new PC.

Retro and hysterical?

Retro and hysterical? Should we all be hip and use Vista because it's new, or should we do what makes business sense and stick with something that does what the business needs it to do? In this tight economy maybe it does not make sense to spend dollars on application compatability testing when the dollars can be invested elsewhere. What efficiencies will be gained by moving to Vista? How will it improve my business processes?
